This low-cut model is based on the classic “German Trainer” military sneaker. German Trainer is the name used for a reissued version of a sneaker that was used as military training shoes by the German military from the 1970s to the 1990s. Today, these classic sneakers are handled by famous brands and various select stores as a standard low-tech sneaker. The combination of soft kangaroo leather and cow suede gives a simple and sophisticated impression, and the timelessly loved universal design is appealing. While retaining an authentic atmosphere, the minimally rolled-up sole also infuses this pair with Spingle's unique style.
Upper: Kangaroo leather/ cow suede
Outsole: Made of natural rubber, with excellent elasticity, durability, grip and flexibility. “No.8 Outsole”
Insole: Removable cup insole with excellent cushioning and arch support
Lining: Breathable, grained patterned synthetic leather

STAFF COMMENT
Keita
Usual shoe size: 27.0 cm (US M 9 / EU 42.5)
I wear a 27.0 cm in the Nike Air Force 1, but I chose 26.5 cm (size L) in Spingle.
Spingle feels softer underfoot than the Air Force 1. In my case, a 26.5 cm Air Force 1 feels a little tight near the base of my big toe, so I size up to 27.0 cm. In Spingle, 26.5 cm (size L) is comfortable as is.
If you usually wear a 27.0 cm to 27.5 cm in the Air Force 1, size L (26.5 cm) is where I'd start in Spingle.
Take
Usual shoe size: 26.5 cm (US M 8.5 / EU 42)
I wear a 26.5 cm in the Adidas Samba, and I chose the same 26.5 cm (size L) in Spingle.
The two are close in size, and the fit carries over almost exactly. The leather molds to your foot as you wear it, so Spingle feels good from the first step and only gets better from there.
If you usually wear a 26.0 cm to 26.5 cm in the Samba, size L (26.5 cm) should feel right in Spingle.
Kota
Usual shoe size: 26 cm (US M 8 / EU 41)
My foot width is average, and I usually wear size L. From the first wear, it holds the whole foot snugly, but never feels tight. As the leather molds to your foot, the fit only improves, and it stays comfortable through long days on your feet.
Shohei
Usual shoe size: 28 cm (US M 10 / EU 44)
My foot is on the wider side. If I pick my size by length alone, the laces splay open, so I go up one size. Laced snugly, they fit comfortably.

Our take on the German trainer.
The German army wore the German trainer for training from the 1970s through the 1990s. We took that classic shape and rebuilt it our way, with our own leathers and the wave sole. It is made to wear for years, whoever you are.
Two leathers, one easy everyday shoe.
Kangaroo leather meets cow suede. The suede brings a soft, matte mood; the kangaroo brings a finer grain. Together they make a shoe that does not shout and goes with anything. Simple enough that the materials do the talking.
Kangaroo leather, padding, a cushioned footbed.
The kangaroo leather used on the upper is soft, light, and tough, the same leather long used in soccer and baseball spikes. Padding at the collar and tongue softens the contact. A thick, removable footbed with arch support wraps the foot and takes the edge off the ground. Classic shape, modern comfort.
90 years of skill, and a sole you can repair.
We have built shoes in Fuchu City, Hiroshima since 1933, adjusting the last and pattern to fit the Japanese foot. The outsole cushions, flexes, and lasts, and it can be repaired. A serious pair you'll still reach for every day. That is what comes of making it by hand ourselves in Fuchu.

Usual shoe size: 24.5 cm (US W 8 / EU 38.5)
I wear a 24.5 cm in the Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66, and I chose the same 24.5 cm (size S) in Spingle.
The two run close in size, so there's no real difference to note. Spingle feels good from the first step, and the leather molds to your foot the more you wear it. If you usually wear a 24.0 cm to 24.5 cm in the Mexico 66, size S (24.5 cm) is a good place to start in Spingle.
