FUNCTION 01
Ready for the weather: highly water-repellent and breathable
Most of our models are treated to shed water, so a sudden downpour doesn't change your plans. Rain on the walk to the station runs off the leather instead of soaking into it. Two models in this collection go further and use GORE-TEX®.
FUNCTION 02
Inside the shoe: breathable, antibacterial, and odor-controlling
Materials that pull moisture away and let it out keep your feet from getting hot and damp, even after a long day. Each pair also carries an antibacterial and odor-control finish. The lining on several models is ECOPET®, a recycled material.
FUNCTION 03
Easy on your feet: a sole designed to reduce fatigue
A shank inside the sole gives the shoe its backbone, and a moderate heel keeps your stride natural. Long walks, station stairs, a weekend outdoors: your feet feel it less at the end of the day. The outsole can be replaced when it wears down.

Water repellency that earns its keep on a rainy day
Two of these are built with GORE-TEX®. The others use leather treated at the tanning stage, so water beads on the surface instead of soaking in.
Waterproof and breathable
SP-6601 Black
GORE-TEX® keeps rain out and lets moisture escape. Spingle is one of the few factories in Japan licensed to build with it.
Highly water-repellent
SP-6123 Black
The repellent is worked into the hide during tanning, so it sits inside the leather and outlasts any spray finish.
Highly water-repellent
SP-6125 Black
No laces. The elastic side panels let you step in and out at the door, in leather treated to bead water.
Waterproof and breathable
SP-6604 Black
A taller shaft and a webbed tongue give rain farther to climb. Certified by GORE-TEX® as a finished shoe, not just as leather.

Insoles and linings that keep the inside of the shoe comfortable
One insole you can adjust, one you can wash, one made with Japanese paper. What sits under your foot changes the day more than most people expect.

A slip-on only works if it holds your instep, so an EVA layer under the cup insole lets you set the fit yourself.
Shock absorption
SP-6140 Light Brown
A cushioning foam insole that breathes, absorbs impact, and washes clean under a tap. Leather treated at the tanning stage.
Light and functional
SP-6155 Black
Feather Touch Leather II over a shank that steadies each step. It laces like a dress shoe and comes off like a slip-on.
Washi paper insole
SP-6153 Black
A cup insole made with washi, Japanese paper, which pulls moisture off the foot, dries fast, and is several times stronger than cotton.

One piece of smooth cowhide, with no seams across the vamp, finished with a water-repellent treatment.
Classic design
SP-6113 Black
A full-brogue wingtip in shrunk-grain leather, so it reads softer than the shape suggests. Sold online only.
Shock absorption
SP-6139 Black
Fine-grain calf leather on a heeled sole, with an embossed detail on the rubber band that wraps the base of the shoe.
Highly water-repellent
SP-6141 Black
A V-tip in leather treated at the tanning stage, over a foam rubber and latex insole with real spring to it.
